ASIAN ART MUSEUM The only one of its kind in Greece, with some 11,000 artefacts donated by various private collectors such as the Corfiot diplomat, Grigorios Manos. The collection is a combination of items from all over Asia elegantly displayed within the grandeur of the Place of St Michael and St George.

PAPER MONEY MUSEUM Bank notes from Corfu’s British, German, Italian and Greek eras are on display in this unusual collection belonging to the Ionian Bank. The display explores the production process of a bank note, from its original design to engraving and printing.

PATOUNIS SOAP FACTORY “Our premises, preserved with the functioning tools and equipment dating from 1891, constitute a living memory of a unique local tradition. Therefore, in recent years the soap factory has become the subject of academic studies while attracting visitors from the tourist and educational sector. It has been a listed monument of industrial heritage with the Greek Ministry of Culture since 2008”.

SHELL MUSEUM Thousands of rare and impressive species of shells are part of this museum’s collection. Originally gathered and collected by a diver as his hobby, this vast collection is now on display in the fishing village of Benitses.

THE HISTORICAL AND FOLKLORIC MUSEUM OF MESIS This is a lovely collection of furniture and artefacts in the central village of Sinarades. The collection is housed in a two storey traditional building, with a reconstruction of a home on the 1st floor, showing what the interior of a village house in the 19th century looked like.
